MadrisaLand
It was quite a long trip, about 12 mins to the top and the views on they way up were just wonderful again. At the top we found a table and had our picnic lunch, then James, Rachel and the children went into MadrisaLand and David and I decided to walk down the mountain for a change!
Swiss don't do gentle I have discovered. However we took it fairly slowly and took photos on the way down, sun coming through the trees, dew from yesterday's rain still on the leaves, fabulous vistas of pretty Swiss villages dotted up the green alps, just wonderful.
Luckily a tramper passed us so we followed her along a few tracks cutting out hairpin bend roads, and learned how to open and shut fenced off paddocks, and taking a more or less straight line, avoiding cow pats along the way, we made it to the bottom.
Fortunately it was where the car was parked and there happened to be a little cafe selling everything I was hanging out for. David checked that the car was still there, oh joy, we didn't have to walk home, so we settled in to a local glass of beer and a packet of bacon chippies. I was a happy girl again!
From the outside looking in it seemed that this was a theme park with a difference, there were no Disneyland figures, or even a reference, it was all Swiss, from a small paddock of friendly goats, Lamas and horses etc, to a climbng wall, and on to wooden swings and challenging climbing adventures. Swiss made of course. The Swiss seem so patriotic, flags fly and symbols of the nation are to be seen on most of the shop windows.
As it was such a beautiful day we decided to go up on the Klosters Dorf Gondalar to the MadrisaLand Adventure playground.
When we got to Klosters Dorf everywhere seemed packed, the car parks were full, we just managed to get one only five mins away from the Gondola entrance. And were able to use our cards to get up, so all good. These were very much smaller gondolas only taking 4 at a time.
We started off just fine, there where sign posts telling us the way, and it was downhill all the way, downhill as in a gradient of about 9 to 1!
Two hours later with jelly legs I was wondering if we had taken a wrong turn, I did insist that the only way was down when we came across a signpost that indicated 'Klosters Dorf' up one road, across the other, and down through a paddock the third!

James and family joined us about half an hour later, and joined us for a drink, and then we all headed home after another lovely day.
Jasper s favourite activity at MadrisaLand ? Patting the goats, reminds me of "Bufford the Mountain Goat"a book greatly loved by our children when they were young. And the dark tube slide that went underground.
